WHAT YOU’LL FIND AND WHAT TO BRING.

IT’S ALL HERE!

What we have at Virtual Snow Mountain High:

The Instructors.

Our instructors have taught both on the simulator and on-hill. Whatever is needed they will help you.

The Location.

Luxury accommodations. Ski in/Ski out on the bunny hill.

Our building at Mountain High Ski Resort is located to the far left of the Bullwheel Restaurant just up the hill from the parking lot at the West Resort. It also happens to be right in front of the bunny hill where we can gradually get you used to sliding on the hill before we take you on any steeper terrain. But we will go as fast or as slow as you need.

The Experience.

We pride ourselves on three things:

  • Safety

  • Fun is our main goal in all our lessons.

  • Learning - The higher your skills the more you’ll love sliding on snow.

What you need to know when you come:

Come early! Earlier the better. If you come on a non-holiday weekday you should be fine arriving an hour before your appointment. If you arrive on a weekend be there by 7:30-8am or you may not get parking. Plus the later you come the lines start piling up both in tickets and in rentals not to mention even getting INTO parking so be wise. Come early!

Lift Tickets:

Lift tickets are not included in any private lessons. And if your lesson includes going on the hill you will need to have that prior to arrival. Here is a link for your convenience.

Mt High Lift Tickets

Rentals:

Best if you bring your own equipment or rent elsewhere if you are booking on a weekend. The mountain’s Rentals Dept is ideal during the week but on weekends can get overloaded. Especially if you come after 8am on holidays.

Recommended places to rent:

Mt High Resort

Big Benny’s

Sports LTD

REI

Basic Gear to bring:

  • Sunscreen

  • Goggles or sunglasses depending on the weather.

  • Helmet

  • Waterproof gloves, jacket and pants.

  • Waterproof boots are recommended but at least boots with aggressive tread so you don’t slip on icy surfaces.

  • Always bring extra clothing. You can always take it off if it is warm weather.

Weather:

Weather is usually clear skys and road conditions are usually clear however during or after a snow storm bring chains or have a 4wheel drive vehicle.

Roads: You can get to us by way of three different roads but typically only two are available during the winter.

  1. The 138 highway is the easiest and safest way to get to and from the mountain.

  2. The N4 road is the back way to get to and from the mountain. It is a twisting road and shaded a lot so is not recommended after a storm as it will be very icy during those times. Wait at least three days after a storm if you want to use that road.

  3. And finally there is the 2 hwy which comes from La Canada and is rarely open during the winter as it goes through extremely remote areas with no phone service.

We are located to the left of the Bullwheel Restaurant in the upper right corner on this map above.
